Privacy Policy
Unity Websites — Last updated: 19 July 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to all products and services published by Unity Websites, including browser extensions, mobile applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). Each Service may have additional privacy terms; where those conflict with this policy, the more specific terms apply.
What Data We Collect
We collect only the minimum data required to operate each Service. Data collected varies by product:
- Tab Copy (Chrome extension): reads open tab titles and URLs only when you explicitly click Copy. This data is NOT stored, transmitted, or shared. All processing happens locally within the extension.
- Tab Saver (Chrome extension): reads open tab titles and URLs only when you explicitly click Save Session. Saved sessions are stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local and are NOT transmitted or shared. No session data leaves your device.
- Quick Notes (Chrome extension): reads the active tab's URL and title to associate notes with specific web pages. All notes are stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local and are NOT transmitted or shared. License key activation is verified against our server but no browsing data is sent.
- Color Picker (Chrome extension): captures the visible page only when you click the "Pick color from page". The captured image is processed in memory to sample pixel colors and is NOT stored, transmitted, or shared. All color processing happens locally within the extension. Saved palette history is stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local and is NOT transmitted or shared.
- Tab Muter (Chrome extension): reads tab titles, URLs, and audible status only when you open the popup or click "Mute noisy tabs". The list of domains you choose to auto-mute is stored locally via chrome.storage.local. NO tab data is transmitted or shared. When you activate a Pro license, only your license key and extension domain are sent to our license server for verification.
- Payment data: when you purchase a product, Stripe (our payment processor) collects your name, email, and payment card details. We do not receive or store your full card number. Stripe’s privacy policy governs this data.
- License keys: we store your license key and activation status on our license server to verify your entitlement. This data is not shared.
What Data We Do NOT Collect
- Passwords or account credentials (unless explicitly provided for support)
- Personal messages, emails, or social media content
- Browsing history beyond what you explicitly provide during a copy action
- Clipboard contents — we only write to it, never read from it
- Geolocation or device identifiers beyond standard server logs
How We Use Data
- License verification: to confirm your purchase and unlock paid features
- Customer support: to respond to queries you initiate
- Service improvement: aggregate, anonymized usage patterns may be analyzed to fix bugs and improve features
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except:
- Stripe: payment processing (governed by Stripe’s privacy policy)
- Hosting providers: website and server infrastructure (data stored in encrypted databases)
- Legal requests: if required by applicable law or legal process
Data Retention
License records are retained indefinitely so we can honor lifetime purchases. You may request deletion of your license key by contacting support. Aggregate analytics are retained up to 12 months.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.
Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Cookies
Some Services use cookies for session management and analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser; some features may not function properly without them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via product announcements. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
